Chiang Mai Temples - Part III

One of the most interesting temples in Chiang Mai is Wat Chedi Luang. The temple had an interesting history - it took a long time to built over several generations of monarchs. In the 15th century, the upper part of the structured was destroyed in an earth quake. This has not been completely rebuilt, giving the temple a strange lop-sided look.

There is a large reclining Buddha in one of the many pavilions around the main temple.

The new temple building at the main entrance.

Some of the smaller temple structures on the site are quite beautiful.
